Join us for an immersive journey into the world of television writing with our comprehensive online half-hour pilot workshop! Over ten weeks, under the guidance of writer/producer/showrunner Adrienne Carter, participants will work in a simulated “writers’ room” and go from concept to completed first draft in ten weeks.
The adventure begins with the foundation: crafting a concept that excites buyers and reps while also showcasing your unique voice as a writer. Through insightful discussions and notes sessions, Adrienne will assist you in honing your concept into a compelling narrative that will set you up for success throughout the creative process.
Once you’ve identified and honed your concept, Adrienne will lead you and your workshop partners on a deep dive into character and structure development. Through a series of written character work, story outlining, and engaging class discussions, you’ll breathe life into your characters and narrative, ensuring every twist and turn resonates with authenticity and emotional depth.
Once your pilot outline receives the seal of approval, it’s time to dive into writing your script. With Adrienne’s expert guidance and the support of your classmates, you’ll work your way through a first draft with a focus on all the major elements that make a pilot resonate with producers, network executives, reps, and audiences. Each week, you’ll share your progress with your fellow writers, simulating the dynamic atmosphere of a real writers’ room.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll emerge with a fully realized first draft. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just beginning your journey, this workshop is open to all skill levels, offering a supportive, yet challenging environment geared to maximize growth and exploration.
Spaces are limited to ensure personalized attention, with a maximum of eight writers. The cost of the workshop is $1449; we offer payment plans (3 payments). Classes will be held online Tuesdays from 6-9 pm PST, starting March 19th.

Brown, showcasing her ability to weave intricate stories with nuance and depth. Additionally, Adrienne’s comedic web series, “Every Other Weekend,” garnered acclaim on YouTube before catching the attention of executives at 20th Century Fox, who swiftly snapped up the concept for further development.
