Craft that magical first encounter that audiences will quote for years! We’ll study unforgettable meet-cutes from cinema history, identify what makes them work, and workshop your own unique spin. Learn to establish character, chemistry, and conflict all in one delightful scene.
Week 3: “The Rom-Com Entourage”
Discover why the best rom-coms are ensemble pieces at heart! We’ll explore how memorable supporting characters can elevate your script from good to unforgettable. Develop your own scene-stealing sidekicks and subplots that enhance your central love story.
Week 4: “Dialogue That Dazzles”
Master the art of banter, subtext, and swoon-worthy declarations! Learn to write a conversation that crackles with tension, humor, and heart. We’ll transform flat exchanges into memorable moments and ensure each character speaks in a distinctive voice that reveals who they are.
Week 5: “Grand Gestures & Perfect Endings”
Create third-act moments that leave audiences cheering! We’ll study the anatomy of unforgettable rom-com conclusions, learn to build emotional momentum, and craft grand gestures that feel both surprising and inevitable. Say goodbye to predictable endings!
Week 6: “The Soundtrack of Love”
Explore how music enhances storytelling and emotional impact! A professional music supervisor joins us to reveal insider secrets about choosing songs for pivotal rom-com moments. You’ll select songs to inspire and enhance your script’s key scenes, creating a unique emotional blueprint.
Weeks 7-10: “From Page to Screen”
Roll up your sleeves for intensive workshopping sessions! Each week begins with a brief Q&A featuring rom-com industry insiders—development executives, producers, directors, and literary representatives—before diving into constructive feedback on your evolving script so you can leave the class with a first draft of your script.
