Master the dual purpose of television pilots that actually get picked up! We’ll break down how successful pilots tell complete stories while setting up unlimited series potential. Learn the act structure that includes: killer teasers that establish tone and theme, nail-biting act breaks, and the story engine that plants seeds for 100+ episodes of cozy conflict. You’ll start workshopping your pilot outline in class with immediate feedback.
Week 3: “Meet-Cutes That Sizzle & Protagonists We Love”
Craft that magical first encounter that audiences will quote for years while creating protagonists viewers instantly fall for! We’ll study unforgettable meet-cutes from hit TV shows, identify what makes them work in the cozy drama context, and workshop your own unique spin. Week 4: “Ensemble Magic & Settings That Steal Scenes”

Weeks 8-10: “From Script to Screen”
Intensive workshopping meets industry insider access! Get hands-on feedback on your evolving script while learning from real professionals who buy/develop cozy dramas. Week 9 features a development executive revealing insider secrets about what makes shows irresistible to networks. Week 10 culminates in a live pitch fest where you’ll present your idea to an industry professional and get immediate feedback!
