Are You Ready to Take Your Writing to the Next Level?
Writer/Producer/Consultant Tim Albaugh has over 30 years experience guiding writers to professional success. He taught for 25 years in the UCLA MFA and Professional Programs where he facilitated the launch of dozens of students’ careers, including Scott Kosar, who wrote THE MACHINIST in Tim’s class.
Tim left UCLA in 2018 to work as an Executive Producer at Royal Viking Entertainment, producers of BLACK AND BLUE starring Naomie Harris and Tyrese (released by Sony Screen Gems); WORTH starring Stanley Tucci and Michael Keaton (currently streaming on Netflix); and THE WASP (starring Naomie Harris and Natalie Dormer) which opens Friday, August 30th exclusively in theaters.
Tim’s students and clients have sold projects to all the major studios and streamers and have written for shows such as ATLANTA, BLACKISH, BIGGER, BROAD CITY, GREY’S ANATOMY, HAWAII FIVE – 0, INSECURE, MR. AND MRS. SMITH, STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT, and others too numerous to mention.
Tim’s emphasis is on helping writers identify and strengthen not only their craft, but also their voice. He takes pride in guiding writers through their pursuit of their creative goals and moving them closer to professional success. Royal Viking has optioned numerous scripts from Tim’s workshops and sold a workshop participant’s script to eOne for a mid six figure sum. When appropriate, Tim also shares his workshop participants’ scripts with other producers, managers and production executives.
Tim’s ProPath workshops meet on Zoom and mimic the Hollywood professional development process at a pace similar to the UCLA MFA 434 writing workshops. Tim does an intro Zoom call with each workshop participant prior to enrollment to explain exactly how the workshop works and to answer any questions participants may have.
The cost of the 10 session workshop is $1750. We offer payment plans for all our workshops and don’t forget to ask about our referral bonus program!
Workshops are capped at 8 participants so that everyone gets personalized attention.
Don’t miss this opportunity to work in a vibrant, supportive setting with an active writer/producer/consultant who has spent the last 30 years helping writers launch their Hollywood writing careers.
Email [email protected] for more information. To ensure writers are placed in the appropriate workshop section, Tim does a quick intake call with each interested writer before they sign up for the workshop.
And as Tim’s UCLA mentor Lew Hunter used to say, “Write On!”
What Our Writers Are Saying
Tim’s workshop energizes you. You come away knowing all he wants is to help you make the story in your head better than you first imagined. He genuinely cares, which makes him one of the best mentors out there.
Godwin Jabangwe, Imagine Impact Creator (Tunga at Netflix)
Tim helps you build your story from the ground up – character work, outlines – so you can solve your story problems early on. Once my script was ready, Tim helped me attach a producer and get it set up at a studio.
Noushin Jahanian, Screenwriter, The Start Up (eOne)
Tim is a legend in the screenwriting space because of his amazing work with students. Any student would be lucky to be under his tutelage, and would become a much better writer because of it.
Felicia Marye, Creator, EP/Showrunner, Bigger (BET)
