Linda Voorhees leads you from concept to premise to completed step-outline in a demanding, interactive, live workshop. This workshop takes place over the course of six weekly sessions.
Linda’s workshop will meet on Thursdays beginning November 4th from 6 PM to 9 PM PST. After that, the her next round of classes begins on Thursday February 17th from 6 PM to 9 PM PST. The fee for the course is $799. Payment plans are available.
The roster is capped at eight writers and will focus on building your best outline. This is a class that will help set you up for success as a professional writer.
This is a class for writers at all levels and for all genres.
Story Development & Step Outline Schedule:
- WEEK ONE: Identify and clarify your concept. Write a logline and focus on Protagonist goal and stakes
- WEEK TWO: Write a two-page treatment. Focus on the movement of the story through the three act structure
- WEEK THREE: Submit a structure paradigm. Using structure elements clarify your major structure scenes
- WEEK FOUR: ACT ONE outline scene beats. TRACKING: Write the Opening Hook
- WEEK FIVE: ACT TWO and ACT THREE outline scene beats
- WEEK SIX: Rewrite full outline
